The Southern Expressway towards Matara has been blocked.
That was by colliding with a lorry and a fuel bowser.
Two persons were injured in the incident.
The lorry had overturned between Dodangoda and Galanigama, the Road Development Authority said.
Due to the traffic congestion, vehicles heading towards Matara could leave Galanigama and enter through the Daily Dodangoda entrance, police said.
